Ian Bell

My name is Ian Bell and I’ve been involved with powerlifting since I was 12. I’ve carried a lot of roles within this sport since I started including a Team USA member, national referee, spotter and loader, a coach, and a former athlete’s representative. I’m looking forward to helping to create avenues for financial support for our athletes to compete on the international level, encouraging the growth of our organization in number of meets provided for lifters, and providing clear and transparent communication between our executive committee and the lifters. I’m looking forward to representing y’all the best I Can!

Bonica Brown

Connecting with athletes at all levels, from local to international, and across all age groups. By listening to their ideas and concerns. I strive to be the person who gathers and presents this feedback, creating solutions for everyone. Having been involved in the sport since I was 14, this is the position I’ve always dreamed of. It’s my opportunity to be a trusted, approachable voice for athletes, and to give back to the sport I love. Making the younger version of myself proud of the difference I’m able to make.

LS McCLain

For the past year, I have served as the Athlete Committee Co-Chair, working alongside fellow members to represent PA athletes to the PA board and EC. As an advocate for athletes, I am excited to lead the Enhanced Athlete Experience (EAE) program, focusing on better education of Article 14, fostering an inclusive environment for our future athletes (sub Jr/Jr) and our pillars (masters), and streamlining communication with our national office. This initiative connects athletes and enhances their experience, strengthening their journeys and cultivating a vibrant community that thrives on collaboration and shared success. FOR THE ATHLETE!

I'm eager to leverage my 30+ years of experience to expand our reach in sport. As a dedicated powerlifter and committed advocate for drug-free competition, I have proudly served as the Powerlifting America Northeast Regional Chair. SOTHEAST REGIONAL DIRECTOR

Mark Leebrick

I began powerlifting when I was 16. Originally, powerlifting was a means to become a better football player. I quickly fell in love with the weightroom and competing in the sport. My experience in powerlifting extends farther than just competing. I am a high school powerlifting coach and referee in Louisiana, a national referee, and meet director. I have also served as the Southeast Regional Director since the position was created in the organization. In my daily life I serve as a Health and PE teacher. I have two young sons Maverick, 3 and Briggs, 1. Hopefully one day I will have the opportunity to coach them in the sport. I have been married to my wife Ally for nearly five years.
