Welcome to Powerlifting America!

Powerlifting America is the recognized United States member federation affiliate to the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF).

Powerlifting America directs five National Championships annually, along with a number of regional and local competitions. We are excited to welcome all athletes, coaches, officials, and championship directors to join our organization.

As an affiliate of the IPF, the federation will send lifters to all of the IPF World Championships, the IWGA World Games, FISU World University Championships, and NAPF events.

The IPF is the officially recognized governing body for the sport of powerlifting internationally and was created in 1972. The IPF is composed of member federations from 136 countries on six continents and is a fully compliant (Tier 1) signatory to World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Code.

Powerlifting America shall follow the international testing guidelines established by WADA. All testing, both in competition and out of competition, will be performed by an independent third-party collection agency organized through the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). All registered Powerlifting America athletes will be subject to testing 24/7, 365 days a year, and in accordance with the WADA guidelines.

Your membership can be purchased here.

Good luck, much success, and we look forward to seeing you on the platform.

Thank you,
