Dear Powerlifting America Members, Many of you have expressed your concern regarding the racist incident that occurred at the IPF
For twelve days in October, downtown Reno becomes the center of masters powerlifting. Lifters from more than thirty nations take the platform at the Reno Ballroom, a 32,700-square-foot venue in the heart of the city, steps from The Row, with every session streamed free and scored live. Whether you’re competing, cornering, or just here for the show, this page has everything you need.
Real-time attempts, standings, and records via IPF Goodlift, updated as each lifter is called.

The Reno Ballroom: a 32,700-square-foot venue at 401 N Center Street, downtown Reno.
Celebrate twelve days of lifting. Places are ordered with the preliminary nomination, not sold at the door.
Visit Reno Tahoe is the destination partner for Masters Worlds. October is the quiet stretch between the summer crowds and ski season, so the hikes, the lake, and the good tables downtown are all yours on a rest day.
Visit Reno Tahoe opens its digital coupon book to everyone here for the championships: savings on dining, shopping, entertainment, and attractions across Reno Tahoe. It lives on an interactive map, so there is nothing to print, pick up, or install.
What the region looks like in October: hiking and hot springs, the drive around Lake Tahoe, museums, and the fall calendar downtown.
Ready-made plans by interest: day trips, outdoor adventure, arts and culture, family friendly, and dog friendly.
Reno and Lake Tahoe restaurants, casual through fine dining, plus breweries, coffee, and food trucks within walking distance of the platform.
The regional events calendar. Filter it to your competition dates to see what is happening around town on the days you are not lifting.
Athletes must hold a current Powerlifting America membership that remains active through and beyond the championship, and must be in good standing: no potential Article 14 violations and no outstanding dues. All past and present team fees must be paid seven days before the end of final nominations.
Teams are selected by performance. First invitations in each weight class go to the top-performing eligible lifters at designated qualifying championships, measured against the standards published for each division. Remaining lifters are placed in an alternate pool and ranked by their results. The complete, binding criteria for each team are published in the division selection documents below.
Nominations run through the IPF’s Goodlift system in two stages, preliminary and final, with exact deadlines published in each championship’s official invitation. Start lists are locked at the technical meeting and cannot change after final nominations.
Every division publishes its own criteria. Read the full documents before planning your season:
