Selection Criteria:

• Athletes must be a member of Powerlifting America in good standing to qualify.

• Be at least 18 and no older than 25 years of age on the 31st December of the year of the 

event; for 2024, athletes must be born between the 01/01/1999 and the 31/12/2006.

• Be a national of the country they represent.

• Students who are currently officially registered and proceeding toward a degree or 

diploma at an accredited Institution.

Primary Selections: Men’s and women’s classic champion/winner of their respective weight class at the Powerlifting America University National Championship will automatically be selected for the FISU World Cup.

Secondary Selections: Men and women classic university athletes who have totaled in a national/international level meet in the previous 12 months. 

Team: 16 men and 16 women will be nominated to compete. 2 athletes per class per Men and Women.
